Weekly Menu Plan for October 11-17, 2020
Well, hello there! It's been awhile!
I took a break from posting menu plans, because I thought no one was looking at them anymore. But, it seems there are still a few people looking at them, and would like some new ones!
I am happy to post them, as long as someone is interested! As a blogger, and I realize I am not a good one, when no one comments I just assume no one is looking or no one cares! Just a short comment or even just a 'Hi' lets me know someone is still out there!
So I will resume posting them! I make them every week, for me, because it is much easier for me to stick to a schedule. I am not good at whipping something up at a moment's notice. I like to plan ahead, and make sure I have what I need each week.
This week, I have quite a bit of food that is not gluten free. There are a couple reasons for this. First, I am the only one who has to eat gluten free in my house, and I feel like I make my family eat enough gluten free stuff without constantly giving it to them at every meal. Second, I love to bake. And it is infinitely more enjoyable for me to bake regular foods, as they turn out so much better. Usually. It doesn't bother me that I can't eat them. I enjoy baking for everyone else!
If I make a main dish that is not gluten free, I usually eat something else. If it is something like spaghetti, I just make some gluten free pasta and use the same sauce as everyone else. If I can't make an easy substitute, I will have some gluten free soup or a sandwich. I'm fine with that!
So here is this week's menu plan. I realize it's a day late, but you can still get ideas from it anyway! I hope you find something you want to make for your family!

Menu Plan for August 9-15, 2020
Hi there! Here we are, heading towards the middle of August, and we had just wonderful weather last week! Very cool and not humid, just perfect for being outside. This coming week, not so much! Back to the heat and humidity.
School starts this week for the grandkids, so they are excited as they can be! They haven't been in school since March, because of COVID, so they are happy to be with their friends and teachers they love! One just moved to college this weekend, the other will be a junior in high school, and the little one is a 4th grader this year. Lots of changes to the way they usually do things, but I think they will adapt just fine.
This week's menu plan is on the easy side, due to a busy week. I still watch the little one before and after school, so it cuts my dinner prep time to not much! So I have to do most of the prep during the day while they are at school. Hopefully we will all stay healthy and have a better year this year than last year!
Here is my menu plan for the week:

Weekly Menu Plan Week of July 19-25, 2020
I have been working on it, trying to make it so that I can like it and can use it, and I'm getting closer! Here is what is different than the last time: I tried to change the size, hope that works! And I think I have the links working, if I can just get it embedded in the post. I have no idea if it will work until I actually publish it.
So here goes!
This week's menu is mostly gluten free, but the Crockpot Chicken and Noodles is NOT gluten free. But my family loves it. So on that day, I will probably eat leftovers or make myself a sandwich. If the recipe you click on is not gluten free, and you want it to be, just substitute gluten free pasta, or gluten free mushroom or chicken soup. Sometimes when I make recipes that call for noodles, I just make the meat part and pour it over mashed potatoes. It all depends on what I have in the pantry. But be creative, you can make almost any recipe gluten free by subbing or omitting certain ingredients.

Hopefully, now, you can click on the links to the recipes within the slide. I think I may have to break down and install Microsoft Office to make it totally the way I want it, but this will have to do in the meantime!
If anyone has any suggestions on how to make this better, please leave me a comment! Hope you have a good week, and can find a recipe or two you like!
